Before I installed the wings, I wanted to coat the bottoms to protect from rocks hitting the bottom and chipping the top paint. To do this, I used a truck bed liner. I applied 3 layers to the underside of the wings.
Next I used a file to remove the powder coat from the wing stays to provide a better bonding surface. The front wings just involved power adhesive and tape to keep them in place.
The back wings were a little trickier as they had bolts that went through around the edge of the wing. I started at the back and worked forward aligning the holes.Putting the silver wing protector on just required a few rivets. Here, I started at the bottom and worked my way up to keep the protector aligned.
The rear lights simply bolted in. The front lights were slightly more challenging. Threading the wire through the wingstay is hard. To do this I stuck a stiff wire up the wingstay, and I then tied a string to it and pulled the string back down and through. To finish up, I tied the light wire to the string and pulled it down and through.- Get link
